offshore, non-resident
  Friday, 10 September 2010

     Entrepreneurs are quite often interested in acquiring non-resident companies that were incorporated some time ago. Such existing companies are particularly useful in the following instances:

for concluding major contracts - it is quite possible that a totally new company, formed only a few months previously but already intending to enter into a high-value contract, may arouse the concern of its business partners and other parties. Such concern, although subjective, would nevertheless be no less logical;
for engaging in borrowing - even if guaranteed security is provided, banks usually require corporate borrowers to have a certain business history;
for taking out leases - for the reasons already stated;
for those not infrequent business dealings in which back-dated contracts need to be concluded;
for submitting tenders for the supply of goods or provision of services - also in these cases, the non-resident company would benefit from having a certain business history.

     Taking the above into account, we are glad to inform you that INTERNATIONAL OVERSEAS SERVICES is always able to provide a wide choice of aged companies (on average, a list of 40 - 60 names of such structures is available daily). These are dormant, previously incorporated companies that are simply being "stored to mature" in the safe-deposit of our consultancy company. When buying such a company, the owner pays not only the basic purchase price, but also covers any expenditure necessary to keep it viable for the period from incorporation to purchase (i.e. covering annual fixed duties etc).

     In our experience, the most popular companies in this category are those incorporated approximately one year ago, but in principle I.O.S. is able to offer companies for sale that were incorporated as far back as 1982.
